RESEARCH ON THE ACARIDIA FAUNA IN HONEYBEE NESTS

Synopsis

Beekeeping occupies one of the leading positions in the agro-industrial sector, as it ensures the pollination of entomophilous crops and the production of high-value food products. Under current conditions, researchers emphasize the problem of mass losses of honey bee colonies caused by climate change and the spread of pathogens, a phenomenon observed worldwide. One of the main factors contributing to reduced productivity and the mortality of bee colonies is parasitic mites, particularly Varroa sp. and Tropilaelaps sp.
